Who Is Illusionist Edžus?
Edžus Kauķis, better known as Illusionist Edžus, is one of the brightest and most popular modern illusionists in Latvia. His journey into the world of magic began at the age of 13 through self-learning, and today he is a professional performer with higher education in event hosting and event management.
From TikTok Star to Guinness World Record Holder
Edžus has built his recognition with purpose and consistency, becoming one of the most influential content creators in Latvia. His digital success has been recognized with multiple “Golin Influencer Index” awards in the entertainment and lifestyle categories.
In 2022, Edžus wrote his name into world history by setting a Guinness World Record – completing 3547 one-handed card cuts in one hour. He became the first illusionist in Latvia to achieve such a status.
Dangerous Illusions & Spectacular Stage Shows
Edžus’ signature style is built on courage and visual spectacle. Inspired by legendary performers such as Harry Houdini and David Blaine, he regularly amazes audiences with dangerous and unforgettable illusions:
- Escaping from a straitjacket while hanging from burning ropes
- A 12-hour “flight” suspended seven meters above the ground
- The large-scale tours “Illusionist Edžus in Water” and “Illusionist Edžus in Fire”, which received overwhelming audience reactions throughout Latvia

In addition to his tours and live shows, Edžus has hosted his own television and online programs “Edžus Show” and “Edžus Tricks” and collaborated with some of Latvia’s biggest companies, including Swedbank, Laima, and Samsung.
